University of Aberdeen Music Prize Weekend - Free Tickets!
 


No plans for next weekend? Why not come along and discover works by the best new composers, at two very special events in Aberdeen.

AIYF Compose! Concert
Thursday 26 April, 6.30pm - 7.30pm
Kings College Chapel, University of Aberdeen
Admission free

The inspirational AIYF Compose! concert provides an opportunity for the audience to enjoy the Hebrides Ensemble premiere the work of our five young composers - Kirsty Robertson and Sally Dodds, both students of the University of Aberdeen, Jeremy Coleman of Aberdeen Grammar School, Lliam Patterson of Dyce Academy and Dmitri Olayzola of Robert Gordon's College. Come along and show your support for these young composers as, in some cases, their first composition is premiered.

The Aberdeen Prize Gala Concert
Sunday 29 April, 6pm - 8pm
Cowdray Hall, Schoolhill
Tickets £5 Concessions £3.50

Members of the BBC SSO will perform exciting new pieces by some of the world's most promising composers. The winner of the 'Aberdeen Music Prize' will be also announced at this event.
