  Taking Part

There are lots of ways you can get involved in the Aberdeen International Youth Festival:

Take part in the main programme as a performance company. Youth orchestras, choirs, music groups, dance and theatre companies can apply to take part in the Festival by sending us an application form and a recording of a recent performance. (Click on How to Apply for more details). Groups must be of amateur status and made up of young people not over the age of 25 years.

Join one of our summer schools or take part in a workshop.
Dance Lab - dance courses for students aged 12+
Traditional Music Summer School
- a week long course with classes in fiddle, guitar, whistle and percussion for ages 12+

Become a member of Ceol Mor, the Festival's trad music big band.

Join the AIYF Singing Group at Northfield Community Centre, meeting every Wednesday from 6-7pm from October 28 2009.

Get involved with one of the projects taking part at AIYF, for example YMT's theatre school.

Or if you have an interest in working in the arts or volunteering check out our summer vacancies for opportunities to help out at the Festival.
