Stephen Deazley | Musical Director
Born in Belfast Stephen Deazley is a freelance composer, music
director and animateur whose work spans many genres; contemporary
classical; music theatre; opera; dance; education and new
media. His music and education projects have been performed
across the UK, in Europe and the USA and he was the first
composer to be appointed as Creative Director of the Scottish
Chamber Orchestra's education programme. He is also founder
and artistic director of the maverick performance group Music
at the Brewhouse.
Mairi Campbell | Associate Musical Director
Edinburgh based musician, Mairi, is a regular member of the
Ceòl Mòr team. She writes and performs regularly
around Scotland and beyond and her voice dominated the pivotal
scene in the movie Sex and the City with her haunting
rendition of Auld Lang Syne and is described
as capable of stopping the clock by Jim Gilchrist of The Scotsman.
Shes on Sean Connerys top iPod playlist and is
set to launch her debut solo album in April / May 2010. Recent
awards include: Scots Singer of the Year: Female Musician
of the Year '08 - Liveireland: Composition of the Year'08-
Liveireland: Burnsong winner'07: Winner of Niel Gow International
Composition Award '09.
Innes Watson | Guest Composer
Innes, originally from the Scottish Borders now lives in Glasgow
working as a professional guitarist, fiddler, composer and
arranger. He plays with some of the best up-and-coming acts
of Scotland such as Lori Watson and Rule of Three, Border
Fiddles, the Treacherous Orchestra, iSLE Music Scotland and
many more! Innes is currently working on a solo album which
will feature brand new music and concepts in contemporary
Scotland.
